Children's Programs Offered
|
Throughout the school year, our library hosts the very popular
Preschool Story Hour for children ages 3-5. Two experienced PA
certified elementary teachers, Judy Bogozi and Donna Parish, will be in
charge of the story hour. Call the library for specific dates and times.
Parents are requested to register their children for this program since
class size will be limited.
Many activities which are both educational and entertaining are
scheduled for the summer months. In addition to reading activities, the
programs will feature crafts, snacks, videos, and rewards for those
children attending. Programs featuring professional presentations are
also offered. Contact the library for a schedule of summer events. We
welcome students from pre-school to age 12 to join us.
Beginning in September 2008 and continuing through the school year,
our library will offer a NEW After-School Adventures program. Through
the generosity of the Grable Foundation of Pittsburgh, students in grades
K-5 can participate in exciting and interesting activities to enhance and
enrich their classroom work. Under the direction of a PA certified teacher,
After-School Adventures will coordinate with the educational programs
of the Albert Gallatin Area School District and will align with PSSA
standards.
There is NO CHARGE for participation in any of the children's
programs.
For more information or for registration, stop by the main desk at the
library or call 724.583.7030.
