GERMAN-MASONTOWN PUBLIC LIBRARY

Welcome to The Wilma Brand Children's Room
We are pleased to announce the
dedication of THE WILMA BRAND
CHILDREN'S ROOM. Mrs. Brand
was a founding member of the
popular Quilters' Group at
German-Masontown Public Library
and has been a long-time supporter
of the library. Mrs. Brand and her
fellow quilters generously donated
beautiful hand-crafted quilts which
were raffled off to raise money for the
library. Although Mrs. Brand now
resides in Morgantown WV, she
continues to share her love of books
and libraries by hosting her own
personal "library" for residents of her
apartment complex.
We are most grateful for Mrs. Brand's
many hours of work with the Quilters'
Group and for her dedication to the
library. Her kindness and generosity
will provide a cheerful, welcoming
space where children can develop an
appreciation for reading.

Special thanks to board member
Dorothy Gruskowski who spent
countless hours organizing and
decorating THE WILMA BRAND
CHILDREN'S ROOM. A talented
elementary teacher and school
librarian, " Mrs. G" creatively
organized the collection and added
special touches to make our
children's room attractive to both
children and parents. Indeed, many
patrons have been especially
impressed with this section of the
new library and have commented
upon its many attractive features.
Dorothy Gruskowski invites parents and children to
"share a story or two."
The reading nook is a welcoming space for
families to enjoy reading together.
Much appreciation is extended to Wilma Brand and
her family for their hard work and dedication to
provide a lasting legacy to the community.
Mrs. Brand enjoys a quiet moment in the reading
nook; joining her is library mascot Mason.
